Do you want to make sure that you never miss important phone calls? Do you want to hear a special ringtone when you get an email from your spouse or from your boss? While it is possible to assign a certain ringtone to individual callers, notifications for emails or test messages can not be set. Yet here is a simple way how to it with BlackBerry profiles.

1. Create a new Profile, give it a name that is easy to remember. In this Profile you can now set the tone for SMS, mail, phone, that you want for that group of contacts.
2. Go to profiles, scroll down to advanced, and press Menu > New Exception. Now give the exception a name, for easier understanding give it the same name as the profile that you have created before.
3. In the FROM field, click Menu > Add Name. Here you can add the different contacts from your address look. You can also add more than one contact.
4. Under “Use Profile” click to change that option to the profile that you have created before. Additionally you can set a custom ringtone for the contact
5. Ensure that you enable the exception with the checkmark in the box.

That’s it! When a person that you selected will call you, send you a SMS or an email you will be notified with the individualized notifications.
